Arizona Derby Dames in L.A.

Last weekend I was invited to go to L.A. with the Arizona Derby Dames. If you’ve been to a roller derby game(s), you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, you’re missing out on one of the toughest, high emotions and hardest hitting sports out there. This is a real sport and people get hurt. I saw it first hand during my visit with them. Just watch their video for season 4 below:

AZ Derby Dames Season 4 Commercial

The Arizona Derby Dames are made up of an all-female roller skaters, 5 teams in total. The first time I saw them I thought to myself, wow these gals are hot! Then I thought, shit they could probably kick my ass too!

They’ve recently been featured in Phoenix Magazine, Phoenix New Times, News Channel 3, and a lot more, let’s just say they’re famous. This year would be their Fourth Season. What’s new for them will be playing at the Veteran Memorial Coliseum. Their next and last game for this season is the championship match, September 19th. Make sure to buy tickets!

Below are photos of my short time with the dames. For some this was their first time on a raised track, instead of a flat track. I heard that they will have their own raised track next season.
