I say, what do you do on Monday nights? Sure you have the sports fans with their NBA playoffs and baseball games. But what do actresses, djs, hipsters and band members do? I say, Bikini Lounge Monday’s… The night I went there were a couple of actresses (they know who they are, see the photos). I’m sure you will pick them out yourself. Walking in resident DJ Borisimo was on the sets, the music playing was surf music, where’s my board shorts I thought. As I walk through the crowd, there was hardly any room at the bar. But the most memorial moment for the night was seeing all the familiar faces and the big dance floor they have there or lack there of. But I guess that’s part of the charm of Bikini Lounge.

I just heard about this event around 7 p.m. that night. The name of the event is classic, “Recession Session”. What’s better to drink the recession away? They did it in the 1920’s with prohibition! It’s better not to stress about our economy too much and start to enjoy the small things in life. I had a drink made by Fili, it was whiskey and cherry mix, kicked my ass last night. I’m a light weight, I’ll admit it. Try or ask for it next time. The bike gang was there too with hot ladies. I guess you have to ride to get the ladies. Note to self, get a bike to impress the ladies…

Arte Puro had a launch party at Grandiose to celebrate their new website. The site itself has a minimalist design but love the interactive photo gallery. The highlight of the night was seeing their 2009 Spring line. The models obviously look great in them. See for yourself. You might see some familiar faces too from the Showoff event. What does Treasure Fingers mean? I’m at a lost myself, someone please tell me! But it doesn’t mean no one was there. I saw the FreshFiends crew upstairs, the PartyFoul DJ’s and the downtown influencers. If you want to network, this was the place to be that night. I started to take photos, then suddenly my flash went out. Batteries dead…one of the first thing you learn in photography class is to have extra batteries for your flash. I wasn’t paying attention during that class. I could only snag a few shots. Next time I’ll make sure to have batteries, I’m just bummed that I couldn’t capture the crowd fully, this night.
