Get your design on at Phoenix Runway

Downtown Phoenix is about to get its due.

Phoenix Runway will bring nationally-acclaimed designers, local celebrities and fashion aficionados together at the Herberger Theatre this October 3-4 with a fashion show to help raise money for Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock foundation.

Headed up by the Art Institute of Phoenix, Phoenix Runway will be the endcap of a week of fashion merchandising, design and photography workshops held to give those interested a little more insight into a fairly exclusive industry. Work with local designers, artists and photographers to see just what goes into producing, staging and record a fashion show.

October 3 will bring a celebrity fashion show with the likes of Phoenix mayor Phil Gordon, local reporter and former Apprentice contestant Jenn Hoffmann, Sean Connery impersonator Dennis Keogh, all to help raise money for Solid Rock Foundation to construct a facility for at risk youth. 100% of that night’s proceeds will go straight to Solid Rock. Hosted by azcentral.com’s entertainer of the year Scott Shapiro, Friday is the night to meet the personalities you might not knew yet, but should.

Saturday night will feature a bevy of national fashion designers in a variety of shows, again with proceeds going toward Solid Rock. Expect live entertainment, DJs by Sway Events and any other quirky Phoenix originals that deserve an audience.

More information can be found at Phoenix Runway.

kontakt magazine will be giving out complimentary VIP tickets to their green room, be sure to follow their new blog to find out how to win.

Hope to see you there!
