If you ever driven down Grand Avenue, you know there’s art galleries, bars/taverns and independent shops all lined up on the street. In recent years it has become famous for First Friday’s. On First Friday’s this piece of road that cuts into the heart of downtown Phoenix, comes alive with, I dare to say, “urbanites”.
Today I want to share with you the artworks/murals that I see daily while driving on Grand Avenue. These pieces are painted directly on the building themselves. They remind me of murals by the artist Jorge González Camarena. I’m unsure if these artists were paid for their art pieces but if they weren’t, it’s a shame. In any case, we like their artwork so we created some wallpapers. You can download them by size and pass it on either by linking, posting them on your Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and other social networks you are on. Enjoy!
