My Misadventures at Bikini Lounge, Bar Smith and Hidden House

What a night! I met a famous band (I think), famous photographers, agency folks, thefreshfiends.com and overall interesting kiddos. It all began with a short trip to the Lost Leaf to meetup with a photographer. While there I met a friend who was going to celebrate her birthday at Bar Smith. I told her I’ll see her there in a bit. The photographer I met was Edward aka PHOTOHOE. An exclusive interview with Edward coming soon. You can see some of his work next First Friday at the Dragonfly.

I hit up Bar Smith for Solstice and there were a good bunch of people dancing and getting their groove on, whatever that means. That’s where I met Brenda Bombino Photography. She handed me her business card but I haven’t had a chance to see her online portfolio yet. Then I met Synapse Agency. Never heard of them, but I could just be out of the loop in the Advertising circle. I really didn’t have much time to talk to them but interested to see their portfolio too.

I quickly ran off to checkout Bikini Lounge. Apparently Saturday Nights around 1130 p.m. BL get’s crowded. Bikini Lounge is kind-of deceptive. It’s on Grand Ave, seeing it from the outside it looks raggedy and un-kept. But once inside you’ll meet some of the most interesting people. From DJ’s, band members to folks wanting cheap drinks for the night. I finally finished the night off at the Hidden House, it was Robyn’s birthday and the place was packed. Saw Summer from thefreshfiends.com and oddly I met some of the workers from Atmosphere the salon place. I think they had a girls night out or something. Well overall my misadventures for the night was interesting. I would write more but I’m sure you just want to see the photos.
